Terms & Conditions — NI Candle Supplies UGC Competition
Promoter The promoter is NI Candle Supplies, Unit 7B, Milltown Industrial Estate, Greenan Road, Warrenpoint, UK, BT34 3FN. Email support@nicandlesupplies.com
Eligibility 2.1. The competition is open to residents of the UK, the Republic of Ireland (ROI) or the European Union (EU) aged 18 or over, except employees of NI Candle Supplies, their families, agents or anyone professionally connected with the competition. 2.2. By entering you confirm you are eligible.
Entry period 3.1. Entries open immediately and close at midnight GMT on 19 September (the “Closing Date”). Entries received after the Closing Date will not be considered.
How to enter 4.1. Submit your entry via the Google Form embedded on the competition landing page. 4.2. Each entrant may submit up to 3 entries. Multiple entries must be unique and comply with these T&Cs.
Entry requirements 5.1. Submitted content must be your own original work, must not infringe any third-party rights and must comply with the UGC content guidelines on the landing page. 5.2. Entries containing abusive, illegal or defamatory material will be disqualified.
Prize 6.1. The prize is one set of four 100ml bottles — one of each newly released NI Candle Supplies Christmas scents. No cash alternative will be offered. 6.2. NI Candle Supplies reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of equal or greater value if necessary.
Winner selection & notification 7.1. The winner will be selected by a panel of NI Candle Supplies judges based on creativity, product visibility and overall quality. 7.2. The winner will be notified by email within 7 days of the Closing Date. If the winner does not respond within 7 days of notification, NI Candle Supplies reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
Rights granted by entrant 8.1. By submitting content you grant NI Candle Supplies a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, edit and publish the content across marketing channels (website, social media, advertising, email). Entrants will be credited with their name or social handle where practicable. 8.2. Entrants retain ownership of their content.
Data protection & GDPR compliance 9.1. Controller: NI Candle Supplies is the data controller for personal data collected in connection with this competition. Contact: support@nicandlesupplies.com 9.2. Purpose & lawful basis: Personal data (name, email, contact details and any metadata included with your submission) will be processed to administer the competition, contact the winner and, where you have opted in, for direct marketing. Our lawful bases are performance of a task carried out in the public interest/legitimate interests (running the competition) and consent for marketing communications. 9.3. Recipients: Personal data may be shared with third-party service providers (for example, form hosters, email providers, analytics and legal advisers) who process data on our behalf under contract. We will not sell your personal data. 9.4. International transfers: If we transfer personal data outside the UK/EEA, we will apply appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses). 9.5. Retention: We will retain personal data for as long as necessary to administer the competition and for a limited period afterwards (typically up to 12 months) unless a longer retention is required by law. Content you submit (video/images) may be retained for marketing purposes for up to 36 months or until you request removal. 9.6. Your rights: Where applicable under UK/EU law you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, object to processing, and request data portability. To exercise your rights or withdraw consent for marketing, contact support@nicandlesupplies.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (e.g., ICO in the UK, Data Protection Commission in ROI). 9.7. Consent confirmation: By ticking the confirmation box on the entry form you confirm consent for the uses described above. Liability & disclaimers 10.1. NI Candle Supplies accepts no responsibility for entries lost, delayed, corrupted or incomplete. 10.2. Nothing in these T&Cs limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence.
General 11.1. NI Candle Supplies reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition or these T&Cs without notice in the event of unforeseen circumstances. Any changes will be posted on the competition page. 11.2. These T&Cs are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Where entrants are resident in the EU or ROI, mandatory local consumer protection rules may also apply.
