Equipment you'll need

Method

Empty clamshells laid out on a worktop 1

Prep Your Clamshells: Ensure your clamshells are clean and dry. Place them on top of paper towels to catch any spills or overflow.

Wax pellets melting in a pot 2

Measure & Melt Wax: Each clamshell will hold approximately 50g of wax and fragrance combined. Melt 45g of wax for each 50g clamshell. Heat to 80°C (176°F) using a double boiler or microwave (stirring frequently). If using a microwave, melt in short intervals, stirring between each burst.

Fragrance oil being poured into melted wax 3

Blend In Fragrance: Using your digital scales, weigh out your fragrance oil. For a scent load of 10%, add 5g of fragrance oil per 45g of wax used. If making all 10 at once, pour the bottle in, and away you go! Stir the mixture well for 90 seconds to ensure the fragrance oil is fully blended with the wax.

Scented wax being poured into the clamshells 4

Pour The Wax: Because the clamshells are made from 86% recycled materials (and can melt easily), it is crucial to wait for the wax to cool to 60°C(140°F) before pouring. Gently fill the clamshells almost to the top and allow them to set for 10-15 minutes.

Set wax melts in their clamshells 5

Cooling & Curing: Allow your wax melts to cool completely, ideally leaving them overnight. Our innovative SoyaLuna wax only requires 48 hours to cure fully.

Final Steps: This is the most important step - make sure to enjoy your creations! It's time to pop them in a wax melt burner, light a tealight and enjoy the delightful aroma that fills your space.

The one step not to rush

Waiting for 60°C (140°F). The clamshells are made from 86% recycled materials and can melt easily if the wax is hotter.
